7. What We Promise (and Don't)

7.1 Our Commitments

We commit that:

7.2 Realistic Expectations

Security scanning has inherent limitations. We cannot guarantee:

The Service is a tool to assist your security program, not a replacement for comprehensive security practices. You remain responsible for your overall security posture and for validating and remediating findings.

Legal note: To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Service Updates

We continuously improve the Platform with new features, better detection capabilities, and security updates. Most changes enhance your experience, but occasionally we may need to modify or discontinue features.

For significant changes that affect your workflow, we'll give you at least 14 days notice via email or in-app notification. You can always contact us with feedback about planned changes.

12. Ownership and IP

12.1 What We Own

The Platform, including our scanning technology, detection rules, user interface, and documentation, belongs to Reconnity. Your subscription gives you the right to use it, not own it.

12.2 What You Own

Your scan reports, configurations, and any data you upload remain yours. You can export it anytime.

12.3 Anonymized Insights

We may use anonymized, aggregated data from all customers to improve our detection capabilities and publish security research. This data cannot identify you or your specific assets.

12.4 Your Feedback

If you share ideas for improvements, we may implement them without compensation. If you'd prefer to discuss specific arrangements, contact us before sharing.

Neither party is liable for indirect damages like lost profits, lost business opportunities, or reputational harm - even if warned about the possibility.

16.3 Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claims under this Agreement is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. For free accounts, this cap is €100.

17. Events Beyond Our Control

If such an event prevents service for over 30 days, either party may terminate without penalty.

18. Legal Housekeeping

18.1 Complete Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any order forms, make up the complete agreement between us.

18.2 Severability

If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.

18.3 No Waiver
